'Durant-Irving-Simons shows off' Brooklyn beats Milwaukee to win first pre-season

Brooklyn beat Milwaukee in a preseason game.

The Brooklyn Nets defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 107-97 in the 2022-2023 NBA preseason game held at the Milwaukee Five Serve Forum on the 13th (Korean time).

Brooklyn won their first preseason win with this win. Milwaukee, which is accumulating losses, has lost all five preseason games.

Brooklyn's Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Ben Simmons trio came to power. Irving was the team's top scorer with 23 points, while Durant had 19 points and eight assists. Simmons showed off his all-round beauty with 7 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. Nicholas Claxton also did his part with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks.

Milwaukee, with Chris Middleton absent, lost 24 points and 14 rebounds for Giannis Adetokounmpo and 20 points and 6 rebounds for Jru Halladay.

The beginning of the game was tense. Brooklyn, with Claxton's aggressive attack, added goals from Durant and Irving. Milwaukee also did not back down easily as Holidays continued to operate the outer artillery.

It was Brooklyn who broke the balance. Brooklyn gained the upper hand with Simmons, who led the bench units at the end of the quarter. Brooklyn ended the first quarter with a score of 33-25, with Utah Watanabe also helping out.

But in the second quarter, Brooklyn was shaken by three-pointers from Mazon Beuchamp and Jevon Carter. Milwaukee, who gained momentum, added Adetokounmpo to a goal and pressed Brooklyn. Brooklyn faltered, with Cam Thomas extinguishing the fire and Irving hitting a three-pointer and he fled. Brooklyn managed to block Milwaukee's offensive and the first half ended 59-51.

In the third quarter, Milwaukee went after them again with a three-point shot in the lead. Brooklyn was chased and held the lead with goals from Claxton and Durant. Brooklyn, who rode the flow, tied Milwaukee to a scoreless score for nearly four minutes, extending the scoring interval.

Milwaukee counterattacked late as Adetokounmpo scored a goal from a free throw. However, Brooklyn, who maintained a score gap led by Durant and Irving, finished the third quarter with a score of 92-75.

Milwaukee, who was in a deep defeat, strengthened based on Adetokounmpo's performance in the fourth quarter. After Brooklyn pulled out a lot of key players, Brook Lopez's three-point shot also appeared, reducing the score gap to single digits.

Brooklyn, in crisis, succeeded in defending one after another and reversed the atmosphere. Brooklyn, who regained the pace, put the stakes in the game with De'Aaron Sharp's Alli-Oop dunk, who ran away by 11 points again. Milwaukee also gave Adetokounmpo and other key resources a break.
