"If the president of the association leaves, I will also leave" Director Shin Tae-yong's shocking remarks

Indonesia national football team coach Shin Tae-yong, who is achieving results in Indonesia, made a shocking remark.

On the 12th (Korean time), coach Shin Tae-yong opened his mouth to local public opinion that the Indonesian Football Association president Mochamad Iriawan should take responsibility for the recent Kanjuruhan Stadium disaster through his SNS.

A total of 181 people died in the process of suppression and riots in Kanjuruhan. This is the second highest death toll on a football field since the accident in Peru in 1964 that killed 330 people.

Coach Shin said through SNS, "First, I would like to express my condolences once again to the tragedy that occurred in Kanjuruhan, Malang. I am a football lover, husband of a woman, and father of two children. Endless condolences to the victims and their families. "My consolation will not be of great help, but I will try my best in my own way to give hope to all Indonesians who are suffering from this. Develop your favorite football and reward it with good results." I think there is only one way to give.”

He added, "The president of the association is the one who truly loves Indonesian football and who is silently giving the best strength and support to the development of football. said

Manager Shin said, "If a teammate who played as a team is responsible, I am also responsible. We are a team. Soccer is not successful because only 11 players in the stadium are good, but not only because of the coaching staff. Furthermore, I have always thought that soccer is successful when everyone, including key players, candidates, coaching staff, officials, all members of the association, and the president of the association, becomes one. That is my football philosophy. It's a sport that doesn't exist."

He continued, "Since I came to Indonesia in 2020, I have developed soccer with you. It is an achievement made with the PSSI president, fans, and players who chose me. "I think the person who developed Indonesian football in general can handle the situation well. I will do my best to make Indonesian football further develop."

Coach Shin is contributing to the development of Indonesian football by taking charge of both the Indonesia A team and national team by age in 2020, and continues to develop the team by selecting a large number of young players from the Suzuki Cup runner-up. Also, coach Shin led Indonesia to the Asian Cup finals on his own for the first time in 47 years.
